When cutting hard foods, most knives create pressure points in the user's hand where hard edges of the handle press into the skin causing pain and fatigue.

Designed with no hard edges, PRIME uses two very different materials, hardened stainless steel and a silicone elastomer, to remove any potential "hot spots", allowing the user to grip the knife firmer, while cutting longer and with more confidence.

The merger of these technologies allowed the brand an opportunity to reposition itself in the market and introduce a new sub-brand for Chicago Cutlery.
